Bloomington natives and IU student-athletes, James Bomba (IU Football) and Anthony Leal (IU Men’s Basketball) have launched a back-to-school giving blitz in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington. This year, they are helping us raise money to give a FREE brand new backpack to every Boys & Girls Club kid who needs one!

James and Anthony are hometown kids who have grown up in Bloomington. They competed together at Bloomington South and are now living out their dreams of being Indiana Hoosiers in both football and men’s basketball. Off the field and the court, they are committed students who work hard in the classroom. Both earned their undergraduate degrees early and are currently enrolled in Kelley School of Business graduate programs.

James and Anthony are partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington to ensure that local youth kick off the upcoming school year in a positive way!

A tax-deductible gift of $50 to BGCB will buy a new backpack and pay for a 1 year $20 club membership.

Their goal is to purchase 100 backpacks and raise $5,000 by July 22nd. They have each personally committed to buying backpacks for the effort. Make a gift now and help them reach their goal!
