About the Heritage Club

Rooted in legacy. Planted in potential.

Since 1956, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington have been a steady presence in the lives of Monroe County children — a place where kids learn, lead, belong, and become. The Heritage Club honors the men and women who carry that mission forward through their estate plans.

Members include the Club in their will, name us as a beneficiary, or establish a life-income gift. There is no minimum and no obligation — only an intention, shared with us, to plant something that outlasts a lifetime.

Every leaf is a family.

Each colorful leaf on the Heritage Tree represents a donor who has made a planned gift to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington. Together they form a canopy of generosity that will shade Bloomington’s kids for generations.

When you join the Heritage Club, your family’s name takes its place on the tree.

There are many ways to join the Heritage Club and shape the future of Bloomington’s kids. Choose the path that works best for you and your family.

Bequest in Your Will

Name the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington in your will or living trust with a specific gift, percentage, or residual bequest.

IRA / Qualified Charitable Distribution

If you are 70½ or older, you can give directly from your IRA, satisfy your required minimum distribution, and reduce taxable income.

Stock & Securities

Transfer appreciated stocks or mutual funds to avoid capital-gains tax and receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value.
