DESCRIPTION:Reading Fest is a week long celebration in all of the Boys & Girls Club sites. \nMembers have a week full of reading inspired programs and chances to read to achieve goals for the week.  A week of reading inspiration to inspire a life of reading and learning! \nOne special day at each Club we invite volunteers from the community to join us in the Club and help our young readers explore a book with a great community mentor! \nVolunteers will arrive at the Club by 4:50 pm.  Our volunteer coordinators will greet all volunteers and walk you through process and provide helpful tips for a quality experience for all.  We will join a program space\, select a book and read to 1-2 members. \nWe will be reading with kids until 5:55 pm when we will all help the members put everything away and prepare to transition to the final program of the day. \nSign up To Volunteer Here

Did I mention bragging rights? \nFor the $75 per person admission price\, guests at 100 Cooks Who Care will be treated to local wine\, craft beer\, spirits as well as a cash bar\, a chance to bid on and possibly win a variety of silent auction items\, and all the usual offerings of a non-profit fundraiser in a much more relaxed\, carefree atmosphere. DESCRIPTION:Lemonade Day is a free\, fun\, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start\, own and operate their own business – a lemonade stand. \nThe foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society – the business leaders\, social advocates\, volunteers\, and forward thinking citizens of tomorrow. \nEach child that registers receives access to Lemonopolis\, our FREE and FUN online curriculum that teaches them Lemonade Day lessons like creating budgets\, setting profit-making goals\, serving customers\, repaying investors\, and giving back to the community. Along the way\, they acquire skills in goal-setting\, problem solving\, and gain self-esteem critical for future success. They also receive additional digital content from local sponsors and experts on topics like Building a Lemonade Stand\, Recipe Exploration\, Marketing\, and more!!
